Excel Programming Intern

Our research team has an immediate opening for a part-time intern to assist with Excel programming for ongoing studies on the economics of climate change.

The intern will work closely with an economist and a data analyst/computer modeler to create and modify Excel worksheets that implement components of economic models of climate impacts. This is a paid position, with an hourly wage based on education, experience and skill level.  Students and recent college graduates with the required skills are welcome to apply.

Requirements:

Applicants must have advanced knowledge of Excel and proven experience with simple and complex formulas, including the use of nested information, logical, text, lookup and reference functions (e.g, LOOKUP, MATCH, INDEX, etc.); cross-sheet and cross-workbook formula links; thoughtful sheet design, layout and presentation; etc.  Interest in (willingness to be immersed in) and familiarity with climate change and economics, are helpful but not required.

This is a part-time job lasting 1 to 2 months, with a possibility of extension; starting immediately; 10 to 15 hours per week, with some possibility of additional hours; flexible schedule, but some overlap with the 9 to 5 working day is required.
