PoleStar is a software tool for sustainability studies. It provides an organized framework for storing socioeconomic and environmental information for a country, region, or other area, as well as a calculation engine for building scenario models.
PoleStar has been in use for over a decade. Recently it has been significantly upgraded to a new version. The new version is in use on projects, but is still being actively developed. If you are interested in using the most recent version, please contact polestar@sei-us.org.
